Job Description

Overall Purpose of the role 

Ecorobotix is looking for a "Project Engineer" to join our Operations team and play a key role in coordinating project activities between our company and our industrial partners in China.

As an Ecorobotix representative, you will be responsible for supporting the production ramp-up of our products at our partners’ manufacturing site.

Your future assignments

Prototyping and Production Ramp-up

  • Take active part in the development of the manufacturing process for the introduction of new products (agricultural machinery)

  • Support the prototyping and production launch phases with operational teams on our partners' manufacturing site

  • Coordinate on-site the installation of the assembly line and testing equipment

  • Ensure operator training and compliance with established manufacturing standards

  • Monitor adherence to project timelines and quality procedures

  • Implement KPIs and report devitions to the project manager

  • Set up a management framework for mass production

Manage Technical issue on the Field

  • Serve as the primary Ecorobotix contact at the production site for all types of encountered issues
  • Propose solutions to problems in coordination with Ecorobotix teams in Switzerland
  • Anticipate potential problems and propose preventive measures
Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Gather and analyze feedback from the field
  • Identify, prioritize and propose potential process improvements
  • Lead improvement workshops with Ecorobotix and partner teams

Technical issues management in production 

  • Act as the primary Ecorobotix contact at the production site for all technical and operational issues 

  • Propose and manage action plans to resolve issues in coordination with both Ecorobotix and local operational teams 

  • Anticipate potential problems and propose preventive measures 

Continuous improvement & partnership development 

  • Gather and analyse feedback from the field 

  • Identify, prioritize and propose potential process improvements 

  • Lead improvement workshops with Ecorobotix and partner teams 

  • Maintain and develop partnerships with local companies 

Experience required

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Industrial engineering, mechanical engineer or a related field 

Experience / Technical Skills 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or production management in China

  • Experience in metal parts manufacturing 

  • Knowledge of agricultural machinery assembly  is a plus 

Soft Skills 

  • Strong communication skills with all types of audiences 

  • Comfortable working in production environments 

  • Self-motivated, autonomous and proactive 

  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving oriented 

  • Fluent in Chinese and English. French is a plus. 

Mobility

  • Occasional travels to our Swiss headquarter
